Zoo Boo! Presented by PNC Bank
Enjoy FREE trick-or-treating, pumpkin spice, and everything nice at San Antonio Zoo during the Halloween season for Zoo Boo!, presented by PNC Bank. This family-friendly, non-scary Halloween celebration opens daily from September 21 to October 31, inviting visitors to enjoy a varied lineup of activities and attractions, including daily FREE trick-or-treating. This year, visitors can also look forward to encountering GIANT animatronic bugs, offering an exciting chance to come face to face with larger-than-life moving creatures like bees, butterflies, spiders, dung beetles, praying mantises, and scorpions. These animatronic marvels provide perfect photo opportunities as you trick or treat, adding another layer of fun to the festivities.
Guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, engaging entertainment, animal encounters, Fall-flavored food and drinks, and special themed weekends that guarantee a memorable visit each time! Each weekend, immerse yourself in a distinct thematic experience, such as Medieval Times (September 21-22), Western Weekend (September 28-29), Superhero Days (October 5-6), Mystery Monster Weekend (October 12-13), and Decade Dress Up Weekend (October 19-20). In addition to themed weekends, Zoo Boo! features delightfully themed realms, including the Scarecrow Station at Train Depot, Creepy Crawlers in NEOTROPICA, Dia De Los Muertos in Zootenial Plaza, and more!
In keeping with our commitment to wildlife preservation, the candy distributed during trick-or-treating is eco-friendly, containing sustainably sourced palm oil. This initiative supports rainforest ecosystems and the animals that rely on them, like orangutans, making your visit both fun and impactful.

IS THE CANDY THAT IS BEING HANDED OUT ECO-FRIENDLY?

To help orangutans and their neighbors, San Antonio Zoo only provides candy containing palm oil from sustainable sources. Thanks for helping us protect wildlife around the world!
