Fire Dancers, Live Music, Free Giveaways – Jungle Boogie Nights: Zoochella
Cool off this Saturday and join the festival vibes for Jungle Boogie Nights: Zoochella. FREE for Members and included with Standard Admission, Zoochella is San Antonio Zoo’s family-friendly WILD twist on the California-based Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Open ’til 9 p.m., our extended hours will be packed full of music with interactive performances, fire dancers, live bands, DJs, dance parties, animal interactions, and FREE giveaways throughout the zoo! The Dance Party kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on the Great Lawn with FREE commemorative-themed buttons while supplies last.

San Antonio Zoo Celebrates Hatchings of Texas Horned Lizards On Texas Horned Lizard Day
The Center for Conservation and Research at San Antonio Zoo is thrilled to announce another successful Texas horned lizard hatching, the first of many expected clutches of the season. These Texas horned lizards will be released into the wild in the fall. The arrival of the thirty-four hatchlings with more viable eggs developing is a tremendous step forward for the Texas Horned Lizard Reintroduction Project, which will bolster the survival of their species here in South Texas.

San Antonio Zoo Featured in Conservation Documentary Deep in the Heart
Coming off the heels of American Humane's documentary ``Escape From Extinction,`` which highlights San Antonio Zoo's role in bringing whooping cranes back from the brink, the zoo announces its inclusion in a feature-length documentary, ``Deep in the Heart,`` now open in theaters across Texas. Deep in the Heart is a visually stunning celebration of Texas' diverse landscapes and remarkable wildlife found nowhere else. Narrated by Matthew McConaughey, the film aims to conserve our remaining wild places, to show the connectivity of water and wildlife, and to recognize Texas' conservation importance on a continental scale. Deep in the Heart features endangered subterranean species at the Center for Conservation and Research (CCR) at San Antonio Zoo.

The summer attraction at San Antonio Zoo, Planet Earth: Deep Sea Adventures, presented by Broadway Bank, is now open along with the new 4D Theater! Now to Labor Day, discover some of the earth’s most AMAZING and rarely-seen deep-sea creatures with interactive exhibits, photo-ops, live entertainment, and sea life encounters that will have the whole family exploring and learning!
