We’re celebrating the animals and culture of Latin America in this two-day event. This event highlights the animals native to South and Central America, as well as our conservation efforts in these areas. Festival de Animales is included with zoo Standard Admission and FREE for Members.

10:00 a.m. – Shoebox Parade (Featuring the Will Smith Zoo School)
10:30 a.m. – Animal Chats – Jaguar
11:30 a.m. – Loteria @ Memes Pavilion
12:00 p.m. – Animal Chats – Hawk-Headed Parrot
1:00 p.m. – Shoebox Parade (Featuring the Zoo’s Education Team)
1:15 p.m. – Animal Chats – Howler/Capuchins
2:30 p.m. – Loteria @ Memes Pavilion
2:30 p.m. – Animal Chats – King Vultures/Toucan
4:00 p.m. – Shoebox Parade – Open to the Public
4:30 p.m. – Shoe Box Float Contest

Have you always wanted to be a part of a Fiesta Parade? San Antonio Zoo is hosting a Shoebox Parade open to all guests starting at 4:00 p.m. during our official Fiesta event Festival de Animales. After the parade (at 4:30 p.m.) guests can take part in a shoebox float contest to enter in a chance to win one of the official zoo medals. So get your parade wave ready and join us at San Antonio Zoo!
