Dia de los Muertos
In a meaningful celebration of life and remembrance, San Antonio Zoo invites the community to engage in its 4rd annual Dia de los Muertos ofrenda as part of Zoo Boo!, Presented by PNC. Visitors are welcome to bring 4x6 photos of their beloved late pets to place or hang on a community animal ofrenda located in Zootennial Plaza, creating a collective tribute to the cherished animals we have loved.
To enhance the experience, San Antonio Zoo will assist with photo printing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dia de los Muertos, a revered Mexican holiday that honors the deceased, holds deep cultural significance in San Antonio. The zoo's community animal ofrenda, or altar, offers a vibrant space for guests to add their personal memories, forming a colorful mix of photos, flowers, and symbols that celebrate the lives and spirits of our animal companions.
