Home School Family Safari
Join other home school families for an interactive classroom program and mini zoo safari adventure! These hour-long, themed and engaging programs support TEKS initiatives through lessons and activities, biofacts, animal ambassadors and topic-related zoo exploration. Home School Family Safari educational experiences are geared towards learners 6-10 years and are designed to enhance learning the following:

Spooky Species – October
Uncover the truth about weird and wonderful species, like tarantulas, that might have a reputation for being spooky. Learn about “creepy crawlies” and the important jobs they have in ecosystems around the world.
Seasons of Change – November
Discover how living things adapt when the environment around them changes. Learners will explore how animals and plants are adapted to deal with seasonal change in tropical and temperate biomes around the world.
Summer Down Under – December
It may be winter here in Texas, but in the Southern Hemisphere summer is just getting started! Learners will explore the amazing wildlife of Australia, learning about giant birds and some of the strangest mammals on the planet.
