Home School Family Safari
Join other home school families for an interactive classroom program and mini zoo safari adventure! These hour-long, themed, and engaging programs support TEKS initiatives through lessons and activities, biofacts, animal ambassadors and topic-related zoo exploration.
Home School Family Safari educational experiences are geared towards learners 6-10 years and are designed to enhance learning the following:

Cost: $12 per person; zoo admission included
- Minors must be accompanied by a paying adult

October – Ocean Commotion
Dive into the incredible world beneath the waves as we explore coral reefs, mangroves, the deep sea, and more! Meet the animals that call these underwater habitats home and learn what makes our oceans so important.
November – Wetland Wonders
Get your feet wet learning about wetlands! From marshes to swamps, we’ll explore how these watery ecosystems support a wide variety of animals and help keep our planet healthy.
December – Streams to Sea
Follow the flow of water from underground aquifers to mighty rivers and vast lakes. Discover how these freshwater habitats shape life across continents and why they’re vital for animals—and us!
January – Polar Adventure BRRR… How does anything survive when it’s 20 degrees below 0? Discover life above and beneath the ice and how animals survive in freezing temperatures.
