Calling All Conservation Heroes!
2023 Whooping Crane Festival – Conservation Field Trip information coming soon!
Thursday, Feb. 24 – Sunday, Feb. 27
All ages welcome
Are you ready to put conservation into action this winter? Join the zoo’s education team in Port Aransas for a weekend of fun and conservation at the Annual Whooping Crane Festival!
Follow your interests and passion, and meet up with like-minded people, while bird watching, exploring a nature-related trade show, and enjoying a 3-4 hour guided boat tour through the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. In addition to the festival, you’ll help secure a future for whooping cranes and other coastal wildlife during an afternoon of jetty/beach habitat maintenance. Other events are also available (more information to come). Before heading home, visit the Texas State Aquarium for more inspiring ways to help protect local and worldwide ecosystems
Whether you’re new to the world of conservation or have been incorporating it into your life as long as you can remember, this year’s festival is perfect for all Conservation Heroes.
