ZOO BOO! FAQs
When does Trick-or-Treating take place?
FREE Trick-or-Treating will take place during the last hour of zoo operations.
Sunday – Friday 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Can I wear a Halloween mask?
Halloween masks are only permitted for children under the age of 12.
Does the zoo provide trick-or-treating bags?
Guests are encouraged to be “green” and bring their own bag for trick-or-treating. San Antonio Zoo will offer reusable, eco-friendly trick-or-treat bags for purchase at all zoo gift shops or merchandise carts.
Are any of the Zoo Boo! activities an additional fee?
Yes, the Pumpkin Patch and Pick a Pumpkin are additional charges during Zoo Boo!
Is the candy that is being handed out eco-friendly?
Palm oil is used in everyday items, including shampoo, potato chips, and candy. While it helps to make our soap bubblier and our food taste better, it can affect rainforest ecosystems and the animals that call them home. To help orangutans and their neighbors, San Antonio Zoo only provides candy containing palm oil from sustainable sources. Thanks for helping us protect wildlife around the world!
