What is a Zoo Band?
A “Zoo Band” is a wearable wristband designed for Members that serves multiple functions:
- Entry Access: It allows Members to gain entry into the zoo quickly and efficiently through a tap system at the main entrance.
- Cashless Payments: The band acts as a cashless payment method, enabling guests to purchase food, drinks, and merchandise at various points of sale within the zoo without the need for physical cash or cards.
I am a San Antonio Zoo Member, will my Zoo Band be shipped to us at home?
Starting December 1st, each Zoo Band can be picked up at the zoo’s main entrance by active Members.
Are Zoo Bands Complimentary? If Not, How Much Do Zoo Bands Cost & Where Can I Buy Them?
Zoo Bands are complimentary on your first visit. Additional Zoo Bands are available for purchase if lost or stolen for just $3 per band.
Can I Charge Purchases Using My Zoo Band?
Yes, the band acts as a cashless payment method, enabling guests to purchase food, drinks, and merchandise at various points of sale within the zoo without the need for physical cash or cards. Money can be added to each band through the Member Portal.
I've obtained my Zoo Band. How can I connect it to my Membership account to enable its use?
- Step 1: Power on your Zoo Band by pressing the button on the back, in the lower right corner.
- Step 2: Tap your band to the back of your smart device. Or, go directly to the “Link to Account” section in the Membership portal to get started.
- Step 3: Follow the instructions in the portal to link to an account and pair with your device.
- Step 4: Be sure to link your Membership, Zoo Experiences, Food Costs, and more.
Can other people use my Zoo Band?
No. Once a Membership is linked to your account, it cannot be transferred to another person for use at San Antonio Zoo.
I am not a San Antonio Zoo Member, Can I purchase a Zoo Band?
At this time, Zoo Bands are only available for active Zoo Members.
