What Benefits Do I Get If I Purchase A Monthly Membership?
Each holder on a Monthly Pass will receive all of the standard benefits for a member of the San Antonio Zoo in effect at any given time to include unlimited admissions to San Antonio Zoo whenever it is open to the public, the “Bring A Friend” free tickets, discounts, and various other benefits as described on San Antonio Zoo’s monthly pass section of the webpage for a basic membership pass.
What if my Monthly membership expires due to non-payment?
Payment may be made by calling 210-734-7184 ext. 1000 or in person at any ticket window.
What happens if my monthly passes expire due to non-payment and I purchase new processing fees for new passes?
You do not need to buy new processing fee, simply pay the past due amount for the months not paid to activate your membership. If you have repurchased new processing fee, this can be applied towards your lapsed/expired memberships. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we do not issue refunds.
Can I cancel my Annual Pass to join the Monthly Membership Program?
No. If you have a current annual pass we highly recommend you stay on it. If cancelling your annual pass, you will lose out on all remaining months and benefits associated with the pass level you have.
I Would Like To Cancel My Monthly Membership. How Do I Do That?
If you want to cancel, you must give notice of cancellation at least 30 days prior to the date of the last monthly pass payment you will make. Monthly pass may not be cancelled during the Initial Term. After the Initial Term, your monthly pass in this program renews each month until you cancel it. Any cancellation notice should be delivered to San Antonio Zoo by email at email@example.com
What Is The Initial Term?
The initial term of the monthly pass program is 12 months (the “Initial Term”).
I Have New Debit/Credit Card. Do I Need To Update That For My Monthly Membership?
Yes. You are responsible for payment of your monthly membership payments. It is your responsibility to ensure that the card you designate is valid at all times and has not expired. You may change or update the card you designate as your payment method at any time by contacting a Guest Relations representative at firstname.lastname@example.org or 210-734-7184 at least 10 days before the payment due date.
If I Purchase A Monthly Membership, Will I Still Get A Digital Pass?
Yes. You will still receive a digital pass within 24-72 hours. When you receive your link via email, you will download your pass to your Apple Wallet or Android device.
How do I use my Monthly Membership?
When you receive your link via email, you will download your pass to your Wallet app on Android or iOS devices. Once you visit San Antonio Zoo, open your digital pass at our entry point. There, one of our Zoo Crew team members will scan you and everyone on your membership into the zoo.
Can I apply my daily admission tickets towards a Monthly Membership?
No, you can only apply Daily Admission tickets towards an Annual Pass.
Can I add people to my Monthly Membership after I have already created an account?
As a Monthly Membership, if you wanted to “add” someone to your existing account, you would just buy a Monthly Membership for that person(s).
Do I get early summer entry as a Monthly Member?
Each Monthly Membership level has the benefit of early summer entry.
Will I be grandfathered into my Monthly Membership if prices increase in the future?
Yes. If you purchase a Monthly Membership at a specific price, you will be grandfathered in to that monthly price.
From the time of purchase, what is the expiration date of my Monthly Membership digital pass?
The expiration date will be month to month.
For the Monthly Membership, can I pay cash or do I need to pay with a debit/credit card?
No cash. Monthly Memberships must be paid with a valid debit or credit card.
Will Advocate Annual Pass holders no longer have Unlimited Carousel Rides as a benefit?
Unlimited carousel rides are now an added benefit for the Advocate Plus Monthly Membership. Advocate Annual Passes will no longer have the benefit of unlimited carousel rides moving forward. For guests who have Advocate Annual Passes benefit of unlimited carousel rides will continue to have that benefit until their Annual Pass expires.
Can I use my Monthly Membership at other Zoos and Aquariums?
San Antonio Zoo is a part of Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Reciprocal Program. However, not all AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums participate in the Reciprocal Admissions Program. SHould you have any questions about an institution’s participation in the Reciprocal Prgogram, please contact the zoo or aquarium directly BEFORE you visit.
Do you offer Senior, or Military discounts for Monthly Memberships?
We offer Senior and Military discounts for daily admission at our ticket booths. We do not offer senior or military for our Monthly Memberships.
I do not have my smartphone on me with my digital pass. Can I still enter the zoo?
Not to worry. If you purchased a Monthly Membership you’re already in our system! Simply provide a photo ID at our entry point and our Zoo Crew team member will look up your account and check you in.
Are guest passes included with Monthly Memberships?
Certain memberships have the benefit of 2 complimentary any day tickets. Please check to see which Monthly Membership you have to see if you have that benefit.
I purchased a Monthly Membership. Why does my expiration date say the following month if my Monthly Membership is good for 12 months?
The initial term of the monthly pass program is 12 months (the “Initial Term”). Because it is a Monthly Membership your digital pass “expiration date” will display an expiration date for the preceding month. Your membership will not expire at the end of the preceding month so long as you have a valid debit/credit card to make the payment every month.
