HELPFUL TEACHER RESOURCES:
The DEEPEND Consortium is a team of scientists that studies the deep-pelagic region of Gulf of Mexico to learn about the animals and their environment. DEEPEND's studies give us baseline information that helps us realize the impacts from natural and human-caused disturbances. Dante Fenolio, the San Antonio Zoo's Director of Conservation, is taking part in this study.
