Can I apply my admission fees toward the purchase of an annual pass?
Yes; the number of admission tickets purchased can be applied depending on the level of annual pass you wish to purchase. For example, four general admission tickets can be applied to a Zoo Annual Pass Four Pack. Your sales receipt is required and must be applied the day of your visit.

If I have a current printed Annual Pass can I get the digital Annual Pass as well?
Yes, you still can download a digital Annual Pass as well.
Am I required to get a digital Annual Pass?
The Digital Annual Pass is an additional option for pass holders. If you prefer not to have the Digital Annual Pass, all you need to do is show ID at the gate for entry. All ID users will need to have their picture taken.
Do you have a Grandparent or Nanny annual pass?
Yes, you can add anyone you would like to your annual pass; grandparents, neighbors, nannies, etc.
Do you still offer add-ons or additional un-named guests?
No; all pass holders must be named, we no longer offer un-named guests on annual passes. We no longer offer add-ons, if you would like to add someone to your annual pass, you will add a new annual pass to your pack. These new pass holders will receive all the benefits of an annual pass.
How long until I receive my annual pass packet with my cards?
Annual Passes are no longer mailed. A Digital Annual Pass will be emailed to you within 1-2 hours of purchase. If you purchased an Annual Pass while at the zoo and want to gain entry just to show your ID at the gate. All ID users will need to have their picture taken.
I bought a gift annual pass, how does that work?
When you purchase a gift annual pass online you will enter the gift receiver’s information in the spaces provided. This information will then be added to our system and a gift certificate will be generated. All pass holders must be named in order for the pass to be fulfilled in a timely manner. If pass holders are not named, names are misspelled, or areas are left blank, pass fulfillment will be delayed. When purchasing an annual pass onsite at a ticket booth, information will be given to the ticket attendant. This information will be used to create the annual pass(es) for the recipient to claim on their next visit.
Can I transfer my annual pass if I move?
Annual Passes and pass benefits are non-transferable. This policy is intended to prevent any misuse of annual passes.
Can I get a refund on my annual pass?
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we do not issue refunds. Thank you for your support!
Do Annual Pass holders get in early?
On select dates Annual Pass holders have the benefit of entering the zoo one hour prior to the general public. During this special hour pass holders can purchase their sundries for the day at Lion’s Pride or Safari Gear and can grab a snack at Outpost Amazonia. Early entrance also affords a behind the scenes look at our Zoo Crew prepping the zoo and even our Animal Care Specialists readying the animal habitats for the day. Remaining restaurants and gift shops will open at regular zoo opening time.
Once I download my Digital Annual Pass, where do I pick up my Annual Pass benefits?
Once you have downloaded your Annual Pass, upon visiting San Antonio Zoo, make your way to the Information Center at Outpost Amazonia and you can pick up your benefits that correspond with your Annual Pass.
