Tiny Tots Summer Camp

Ages 3-5
9:15 - 10:45 am
Cost per person for 4-day session: $40/member; $50/nonmember

ATTENTION kids ages 3-5! Grab a parent or caregiver and join us for a summer camp designed just for you! Tiny Tot camps are filled with age-appropriate stories, songs, crafts, games, and of course, animal clos-ups.  Reset assured that by the end of the week even the grown-ups will have learned something about the animal kingdom!

Tiny Tot Family Campouts

5:30 pm - 8:30 am
Cost per person: $45/member adult; $22/member child
                                $55/nonmember adult; $27/nonmember child

Don't hesitate, this popular program fills quickly! Bring the family to a great campout experience inside the Zoo.  Complete with roasting hot dogs on an open fire, sleeping outside in a tent, animal encounters, and an evening Zoo tour.

Wild Beginnings and Zoo Explorers

Meeting one hour a week for four weeks, this program encourages child and caregiver interactions in a fun-filled environment with stories, songs and animal close-ups.

Stroller Safari

Zoo-xercise, Zing-a-long and introduce your child to nature during our monthly Stroller Safari.  Meet other parents, enjoy free play and sing about animals as staff leads this stroller tour.  This program is limited to ages 6-24 months, no older siblings please.

New Afterschool Classes for 2013!

Join us at the Zoo after school!  Caregivers and children spend some quality time in nature together, learning everything from predators to primates! These are offered as a series of four classes on either Wednesdays or Fridays.  These fun classes are a great way to keep your kids engaged after the school bell rings!

Take your child on an adventure around the world! Get your passport to the animal kingdom and stamp a visa to visit a different continent/country each month. Experience the culture, music, people and, most importantly, the animals of countries around the world. Learn words in new languages, sing songs, discover new ecosystems - all through multi-media explorations and hands-on adventures!

Zoo Yoga

Ages 2 ½ - 6

Cost per person: $7/members; $17/nonmembers


Early learners and caregivers take part in a playful approach toward yoga which integrates animal poses with storytelling, song, breathing, relaxation and play. Afterwards, meet your pose inspirations face-to-face on a Zoo tour. Every class will have different exciting theme.

Zoo School

Ages 3–5
9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Cost per month: $275/members; $300/nonmembers
Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays


Bring your child to the Education Center for a nature experience like no other. The Zoo’s teaching staff will introduce your child to plants and animals with hands-on education and time in nature. Daily activities include circle time, animal presentations, Zoo tours, outside free play, activity centers, fun games, songs and a snack!

A $275 (members) or $300 (nonmembers) deposit will secure your spot for the fall! Call 734-7184 ext 1501 for details.

 

Please note: All early childhood programs are developed for the age range stated. Siblings under 12 months in strollers may attend at no charge but should be registered. Siblings over 12 months and extra adults need to be paid participants, as the number of participants in each program is limited. These stipulations assure proper preparation for the programs, safety of the guests and an appropriate group size for the teacher.
